She self-reflected for the first time probably EVER... And did not like what she saw.

"You're supposed to ask if I'm happy." it's time to ditch the Happy Wife, Happy Life mentality. Happy Spouse, Happy House. Both should be happy, not just one

I’m a Chinese warlord with an ideology halfway between Genghis Khan and ISIS and even I think this is a red flag.

I feel like "I hope so" and "I think so" should also be acceptable answers. If nothing else, that means they're probably trying

She seems to have forgotten that "How's the wife?" is an extremely common small talk question that men get.

Ah body language 101. Doesn't take an empath to figure out what she's thinking.

I put my ex wifes happiness before my own for a decade. It was never enough. It was also very debilitating for me.

Jesus christ her eyes and the silence are so deafeningly loud, and my god the "Usually they ask if I'm happy." The fact thats her first and only response is frankly fucked

Q: Is your husband happy?
A: That's a weird question.
That initial response says it all. She thinks her marriage has to be all about her. Poor guy to be married to such a selfish harpy.

She doesn’t want you answer because she knows she’s the reason he’s not happy!!

She felt bad... went home... and gaslit her husband because some man made her feel something she didn't want to feel.

I watched an interview with a woman who spent her entire life as an escort and wrote a book about her experiences.
The daytime TV audience was aghast when she said that about half of her clients were married men.

She said "How many women here think it's their husband's job to make them happy?"
Every woman there put up their hand.
She then said "Isn't it then also YOUR job to make sure your husband is happy? I wasn't standing on a streetcorner, you had to actually seek me out if you wanted to see me. No man who was happy in his relationship was trying to find my phone number."

“Because he’s not here, I want to show my care for him as well”
The way I would have MELTED if someone said that about my partner. That’s such a sweet sentiment, and an even better way to word it!!!
Honestly my autistic ass might respond the same way initially to a question being worded differently than expected. But as soon as he said that I’d understand what he’s getting at. And that fact that her first thought afterwards is “they usually ask about me” is definitely great to say the least.

Imagine this:
"Are you married?"
"Is SHE happy?"
I can see many men responding with: "Happy? She should be. Satisfied? Never."
