Uber driver shot and killed on Chicago’s Near West Side

An Uber driver was fatally shot, and his passenger injured, on the city’s Near West Side.

I wouldn’t drive Uber/Lyft at night in Chicago anymore. Maybe 3-4 years ago but not anymore. Stay safe rideshare drivers $ can’t buy you another life

Sounds like the passenger was targeted, but the driver (who probably didn't know that the passenger was known to the police) got the worst of it. This is sad.

This is Chicago, right? Why was the Rideshare driver not wearing a Kevlar vest? Now the driver is dead. The shooters were sitting not standing. I think Louri Lightfoot should spring for some Kevlar in her city. Whatever they are doing, it's not working.

See it be theses passengers that be getting shot at the Uber driver are just doing there jobs the lady said the passenger is known to to the police crazy picking people up you never know what they have done and who’s out to get them

If I'm working for Uber I would rather have bulletproof windows....it's definitely a risky job....the driver got killed for something he had nothing to with....smh....put your self first....these company can careless about you....longest you making money for them.
