Elderly man charged with killing Uber driver apparently victim of scam

William Brock, 81, is charged with the murder of Uber driver Loletha Hall, 61, but authorities believe they were both unknowingly targeted by scammers.

This guy was no longer a victim when the lady both started retreating to her car, and gave him her cell phone as he demanded. He needs to serve time and the scammers need to be found, and charged and serve time too.

This is so awful. It got a five minute blurb. I’ sitting here in shock and disgust. She was unarmed and elderly herself. Poor baby just trying to work to make ends meet. I saw the fear in her eyes and my heart is wrecked by this. I hope they catch the scammers and lock up that old man. Chasing an old lady who had no weapon. I’m devastated by this. Worse nightmare.

1) the woman was unarmed and disabled

2) the old man kidnapped her and then he shot her when she tried to get away.

3) we all get scam calls this is nothing new.

I love the way the media gives the title of an "elderly man" but doesn't identify the woman as elderly as well. Seems like they are trying to provide an excuse for the gunman.
