How I'd Answer Wordy Questions in A Level Physics

Describe and explain questions are part of A Level Physics and this video I give several problem solving tips on this precise questions. The following questions are applicable for all exam boards including AQA A level Physics, OCR A and OCR B A level Physics, Edexcel A Level Physics, Eduqas etc. They are also applicable to 6 mark questions.

I had a few regarding these type if questions.
1) Regarding descrobe/explain question, is it recommended to only and EXACTLY provide the answer to what the question is asking. For example i have found that a lot of the times I uses to lose a lot of marks when the question was asking to describe or explain but i used explain WHY that was the case, could this be the reason fot losing marks?
2) For example, if the question said "Explain how", should one not explain why something js the case?
3) What is the difference between the approach towards answering "describe", "explain", "describe how", "explain how"in cases where it isn't talking about practicals?
