Now that my hair is white, I love charcoal grey. It’s my new black. Great video!

I like that you gave the purchase information for everything you showed. So many do not. Also it is so true that going silver really changes the way you need to dress and the makeup you choose. It takes awhile to get adjusted to that. I also think that aging in general changes the way you may want to wear color. I changed hair color 8+ years ago, and my choice of colors has changed since then. At 71, the intense colors I find difficult to wear. Almost as though they require too much energy to wear. The pastels, which used to wash me out, are now much more flattering.

very helpful! Im a cool toned grey haired 67. Now I know why lavender and a nice crisp white blouse looks so good on me. Also I found a silver blouse for the holidays that looks really stunning.

After going white, I am a self-diagnosed summer who looks best in the icy colors that you mention. Unfortunately, the true icy lavenders, pinks, and blue can be difficult to find. But sometimes the hunt is part of the fun. Love your videos, Nancy, and, as always, you look fabulous.

I have had such a hard time figuring out what colors to wear that I've switched to wearing all gray, since going gray. Thank you for this inspiration.

My hair is very silvery white - and it makes my skin look so yellow! Wasn't expecting that - and that has been the hardest part, because I definitely have a cool skin tone, but it is just the contrast which brings out a yellowy cast! Lavender looks great - but I can't stand that color (or any version of purple), but raspberry pink is my new friend - along with blue/greens, denimy blues, pale grey and charcoal. Chocolate looks great, but bright blue and clear red and other jewel tones are too harsh. White is also a winner!

Hello, I just rediscovered your channel thanks to the translation. As a young woman, I always assumed that winter-type colors suited me. I went for my first color consultation when I was 35, and I was a summer colorist. Back then, my hair was almost black and hazel eyes. I tan quickly in the summer. A friend couldn't believe it and did another test. I was a mixed summer/winter type. I stopped dyeing my hair 15 years ago and now I have white-gray hair with a silver shimmer. Three years ago, I wanted to do a style consultation, so I had the color tested. Now I'm a winter type and the bright colors suit me very well and dark colors also suit me much better now. But I could never wear beige and brown tones

Thank you all the information you’ve provided. I am blessed with a glorious mane of silver hair. I never thought of wearing charcoal so that will be my next must have, black has always been a no for me. I get the most complements when I wear aqua, coral or red.

I haven't got grey hair yet, but I found your explanation of neutral colouring and what you can wear very helpful! Thank you! I think finally I understood what having neither warm nor cool colour undertone means in relation to what I can wear.

Oh you appeared just in time. My hair was dark, it's now mostly grey- salt and pepper. I've discovered pink looks good on me, stronger pink more than light pink. I tan easily, am warm autumn in skin tone. I love coral too. With neutral tones I wear a pink patterned scarf. This was great, thank you 😊

Wow--that was clarifying. I'm not cool or warm--I'm neutral! Finally, I think I get it!

Thanks, all lovely advice. Yes i noticed when i went grey in hair at about 50, i needed softer paler colours, but now I'm later 60s, am going for brighter choices so I'm not invisible & people are less likely to bump in to me.

As a 66 yr old who has embraced my gray hair this was very helpful. I own a lot of tan or beige color clothes and have noticed it doesn't look as well anymore. Great advice!😊❤❤

I like to use a shampoo made for gray hair about every 4th shampoo. If I find a matching conditioner, better. It doesn't necessarily make my hair whiter. It seems to give it a sort of glow. I'm fair skinned. Natural hair color was reddish brown. Age 69. In fact, the hair on the lower back of my head is still reddish brown. I wear my hair long and the ends are subtly mixed color. Not changing it. I haven't worn makeup for nearly 20 years. However, I'm thinking of wearing a bit of mascara and something to accent my eyebrows a bit. My eyes seem to look tired. The brows and lashes are mostly white now and I don't see much mascara that's good for fair skinned seniors. Maybe just a light brown? I don't like makeup to look obvious.

Yes feel the whole of my wardrobe doesn’t work anymore, since going grey but still have the odd hint of brown hair😢

Good morning. This is great information. A dilemma I have been struggling with since my hair turned “salt and pepper”. I agree with your take on color. I have paired down my black pieces quite a bit. Being a New Yorker I had a lot of black. Anyway, thank you for your insights. ❤
