The Exact is sounding very good here, Rui! I think Communique is an album often overlooked. To my mind it didn't have the impact of DS's first album or the broader sound palate of Making Movies. But it's always worth a listen and the songs grow on you over time.

As always Rui, a work of art, beautifully filmed, produced, I wouldn't think many appreciate just how long these videos take to complete, I'm sure many hours for around 5 minutes or so of video, every time you pull it off and create something that is a treat on the eyes and ears!, also thanks again for taking me back to 79...

I recently purchased the boxed set of all Dire Straits studio albums and I have all of the original albums except Communique (for reasons I am not sure - perhaps someone borrowed it and did not return it). Both the original and the boxed set are excellent pressings and have superior quality sound. The only (major / obviously noticeable) difference I could find is: On the original Brothers in Arms album, the trumpet intro is missing from Your Latest Trick.

Having seen Dire Straits perform twice in concert in the 90's and Mark Knopfler solo a little over a year ago, I can honestly say that Dire Straits is a group which met it's demise far too soon. I would be ecstatic if they would return, but I'm fairly sure that won't happen.

This is a beautiful song and, while I can't say it is my favorite Dire Straits song, I can say that it remains a favorite among all the songs I have heard in my life. Once again, Rui, you have made my weekend the high point of the week and set the tone for a fantastic week ahead. Thank you very much and never stop the vinyl from spinning. If anyone knows how to play the songs that make people feel good, it is you.

Ainda hoje em dia não falho um concerto do Mark Knopfler e ainda que os puristas digam que, tecnicamente, não toca segundo lá os preceitos da coisa, eu quero que eles se tramem e cá a leiga considera-o um guitarrista absolutamente extraordinário, que imprime no que toca a sua impressão digital!
