There are several ways to gain entry to the NYC Marathon, one of the most prestigious marathons in the world. Unlike other races, you can't just sign up online and show up on race day. In this video I share 9 ways to make sure you're at the starting village on Staten Island for the next marathon:

2. Complete the 9+1 program
3. Run a qualifying time
4. Become a streaker
5. Join Team For Kids
6. Work with a charity partner or tour operator
7. Apply for a team spot
8. Run the Virtual NYC Marathon
9. Pay for a philanthropic membership with the New York Road Runners

I have a question:

Right now I have the desire of running for that marathon. I used to be a runner before, but now I have been just running 3 weeks. Today I did my first 5 miles. You think I can get ready for this marathon if I keep training?

Thanks A LOT it is very informative !! I have one question, if you could answer it before the inscription closing it would be lovely ^^ I can't validate my account creation unless I answer to this question : "Years Volunteered at TCS NYC Marathon". Answer is None, how am I supposed to answser if I want to register me ??? Writing zero ? I don't want to write anything that would look like to a false information, I don't want to be banned. Sincerely. Romain
