2022 (5th Gen) RAM Rebel HAM Radio Install

Overview of how I installed and mounted an AnyTone AT-D578UV Pro HAM radio in the center console of my 5th Gen RAM Rebel.

I'm doing a variation of this after watching your video a couple of times. Again, super helpful. I ended up going through the firewall though, at the emergency break cable entrance. It's the larger rubber boot to the right of where you went through. The space on the engine side is still pretty small, but it popped through very easily using silicon grease as you suggested. I own a 2022 Ram 1500 Rebel, which I am adding a CB Radio too. It's great info, I'm doing it a little differently than you, and as far as pulling the cable. I'm using an electrician snake, which will be a lot easier for putting out the cables and the PA cable. Thanks for sharing. 🇺🇲👍🏼

Nicely done I appreciate it very detailed. I am doing the same thing that little area where the CD player went is the perfect spot for two-way mobile. I have an off-topic question what are the tires you have on yours? I have a 22 big horn and I like the tire set up you have on yours thanks.

Great video! I have a ‘21 Ram Rebel that I’m doing pretty much the same thing so this helps a lot! Would you please share with me what antenna mount you are going to use on the rear bed. That’s where I’m stuck. I have a bed cover and want to put the antenna in the same place you have yours. Funny thing is that I also have the Bullet Point mounting system you do 👍🏼😎. TIA

This was super helpful for me as I just bought a new 2023 RAM 1500 with the same configuration.
I am curious how your bed mount worked out. Hope you can share what you have and learned on that as I feel that is where I would like to mount my radio rig.

Good video, looking at running the power wires for my cb radio the same you did for your ham, only thing I would do differently would be to cover the wires in split loom

I love how you have the radio installed. I would love to do that in my Titan, but thinking about having to disassemble my console makes my blood pressure skyrocket. Any concerns about the heat from the radio not dissipating?

Great video and I didn't realize the center console is simple to remove. What type of bed mount did you settle on for your antenna? I own a 2024 RAM-1500 and thinking about the same or a stake pocket type mount.

Really like this install. I have a 21 Ram. Also a hard folding tonneau cover. Looking for a way to mount an antenna between the cab and bed as well. Something that clamps where you pointed would be ideal for me!

Very nice install. I have a 2019 ram 1500 with that stupid cd player lol. I’d love to remove it and put a GMRS radio in its place. Working on the ham next.
