Jadon Sancho: What Happened To The WONDERKID?!

Jadon Sancho is currently in his second season at Manchester United but it seems like he's been here for ages! A lot has changed during the time that we've had Sancho: We've had Ole, Carrick, Rangnick and Ten Hag as managers, and we've gone from being one of the worst United teams I've ever seen to one full of hope again (especially now we might be getting new owners). But one thing that has remained the same is the question marks surrounding Jadon Sancho. Reports came out from the MEN that Ten Hag is becoming "increasingly impatient" with Sancho. Should we be at a point now where we need to start worrying about Jadon Sancho's progress? I've told you what I think in the video, let me know what you think in the comments below...

Never seen such a Talent so afraid to loose the Ball.
No risks, No reward.

Reminds me of Kagawa and Mkhitaryan, absolutes assist machines in Germany, total no brainers as signings but for whatever reason it just doesn't translate to the Premier League. Levels.

IMO there's a reason why Sancho and Antony struggle, whilst Rashford and Garnacho are successful. The team is still counter attacking when you boil it down and Sancho/Antony benefit more from high possession and movement around them which they don't get currently. I'd be worried if it was just one of them struggling, but the fact that it's both, still optimistic that with a better midfield and a proper striker next to them they will both be looking much better

One on one tackles, Sancho will always come out second. He seems to toe poke at the ball and pull away from any contact like his foot just touched boiling water. This is an area of the game that if he can change he'd be much better, and will give him tons of confidence. When he's on his game he's very exciting to watch. I still have hope for him.

I think the 9 is so key to his game... It's no Surprise when Martial is playing Jadon looks Much Better and when Weghorst is playing Jadon looks isolated... He is a winger who likes his 9 to do 1-2s with him and have a quick fluid passing with his RB and 9... He's had AWB who isn't the greatest passer and Dalot who isn't the best at crossing play in and out the team with Weghorst playing more games with him than Martial... I think if we get a 9 with a range of passing and Playmaking like Martial who isn't made of Whitabix maybe we can see a much better and soaring Sancho

Jadon went from taking on men in German League to being scared to run forward anymore in the PL. I love the guy but Ten Hag has to find a way to get that monster out of him again and get his confidence back fully. I'd honestly give him one more season under Ten Hag, because we can't give up on Jadon just yet. The same way we didn't give up on Rashie. I remember when Marcus came in fearless and then something happened, he went thru his spell of low confidence and got scared to take on defenders, but look at him now, back to fearlessness. We need the same patience with Sancho imo.

He has got amazing ability but he hasn't really shown it since joining. I would trust ETH to make the best decision on what to do with him.

He relies on clever link play. A top Number 9 and an Eriksen to play with on a regular basis I’m convinced he’ll come good.

Sancho's success was based on playing as a RAM/RM for Dortmund, and Ten Hag is in love with Antony.

We have to give him one more season and some consistent time on the pitch. We need to strengthen in midfield, right back and a no 9 before we look to the wings. He hasn't been great, but he could still turn it around.

I want it to work for sancho so bad! Hopfully the big characters in the dressing room can get round him and make him believe in his own talent

Does giving a mega contract to a 22 year old kills his motivation? I think it has played some part here.

I'd keep him one more season as the first rotation option for the three attacking mid roles. If still doesn't work out then sell. Maybe can include him in a Bellingham deal though.

Slide tackle, press, track back - just start with working hard and developing a competitive edge. Antony and Sancho aren't traditional one on one wingers they rely on interplay and one twos but if he was putting in the graft he would get a lot more minutes because Antony does it and plays despite similarly sporadic end product.

For some reason the best players we get from Dortmund have always turned out average when playing for Man Utd. Examples are Kagawa, Mikhhitaryn and now Sancho. It almost seems like the Man Utd system doesn't suit the Dortmund players. Not sure what it is, but this is half the fear I have if we try to buy Bellingham.

The saka affect, saka took his place in the England squad and he hasn’t been the same since

Dortmund is a counter attacking team. He scored and assisted most of his goals there on the counter. And now against well organised pressing teams he is afraid to lose the ball.

He does need starts repeatedly before we give up though
