Super cool! I never understand why they don’t make better vises. For example hydraulic clamping ones. Or with a foot paddle. Or at least rounded edges so you don’t rip your skin when you file something.

It’s not complicated but absolutely functional and necessary. It is a piece of art as well and this is the standard every creator should follow!

Did you try taking the vise apart to check if you could just rotate the baseplate/move the end stops?

Marius, that’s great work.
However all the “experts” will bang on about this or that or it not being strong enough etc. Like you need to hold a ship down in your basement workshop OR like many people you have different size vices in different areas. Great to see your stuff!

Excellent. Very creative. I would’ve just cut the corner of the workbench off. But that wouldn’t make a video.

You could have just screwed in a bigger jaw. Would have reduced the usable opening, but much simpler.
