The thing that I loved about this show is that it doesn't insult its audiences' intelligence, because while the main theme of the show are mutants trying to co-exist with humans like the civil rights movement, there are also divisions within both societies that reminds us it's not always black and white. Cyclops had no idea who Sabretooth is/was, and didn't know that Wolverine and him went way back and hated each other's guts. For a cartoon meant for kids, it sure had lots of thought provoking commentary and brilliant writing.

Sabretooth was fucken massive in this cartoon. Many times comic artists haven't done him justice. His musculature just adds to his ferocity and brutality. It doesn't help that he's extremely fast which makes him all the more terrifying if he's not being written as dumbass which he usually is.

This is the only series that actually really nailed their relationship. Most of the time they have him forget sabretooth for some reason. In the comics he hates sabretooth for what he did to silver fox and this show shows so much of what sabretooth has done to him the one thing they never did was show that he always comes hunting for him on his birthday that is one of my favorite tropes

Watching this show as an adult with the context of knowing how Sabretooth vs Wolverine ACTUALLY goes makes him being in the X mansion and them treating Logan like he's the psycho just PURE NIGHTMARE FUEL
