Pawan Khera's Strong Position Against Ghulam Nabi Azad, Reasons 'Quit Because No Post Was Given'

In a fresh jolt to the Congress, senior leader Ghulam Nabi Azad resigned from the party with sharp jabs at the Gandhis and the organisational leadership.

In a letter addressed to Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Azad cited the sidelining of senior leaders and the increasing sway of a "coterie of inexperienced sycophants" as the reasons behind his exit from the party.

The development comes after Azad quit the post of the head of the Jammu and Kashmir Congress campaign committee on August 16.

The former Rajya Sabha MP also lashed out at Rahul Gandhi, blaming his "immaturity" for the Congress's dwindling political clout and poor performance in elections.

Where does Pawan Khera stands in Indian politics. Probably 99.99 percent of Indian voters are unaware about his credentials and contributions to Congress. He is perfect example of Rahul Gandhi style of handling Congress party.

I feel Azad has enjoyed himself for many years. Now others, younger people, should be given a chance.

He is gone and there is no use of arguments. Forget him. He is not Congress man. If really he is a Congress he will live and die for Congress.

I am sure Azad got assurance from Modi for a M.P seat in the higher house of the Parliament. He not speak a single word against BJP.

Azad is a 5 star politician, with no roots in the cadre. He was seeking greener pastures for some time. He cannot live without power.

If Azad sahab does not join another party then his courage should be lauded. His decision would then not be an easy one all. We cannot then call him an opportunist.

Congress has seen a lot of such purges in the past beginning with the split in 1969 and a few thereafter.
The old hags who have seen power for 40/50 years as MPs, CMs, Rajya Sabha members, Cabinet, etc are frustrated now that they are not being renominated. Sibal smartly fooled SP and got a Rajya Sabha from them in return for FREE representation in Supreme Court for the Yadhav clan.
Modi very smartly gave an emotional speech at Azad's farewell in RS; this probably didn't go down well with Congress and they did not even re nominate him. Also no lollipops from BJP. Frustration reached the peak!
So now he abused Rahul in his resignation letter (who cares) to attract BJP and has decided to float a regional party in J&K as elections are due there. Maybe will form a coalition with BJP support there.
God Bless him.

Even people who are Congress supporters for generations are losing hope on the party leadership. Resignation by Senior leaders in the party such as Mr. Azad and Sibal is not something that will help the party or its image in the mind of common people. There are not many national parties in our country. The choice is limited between BJP and Congress. Looks like Congress is not concerned about electoral politics anymore. A person leaving the party after serving for many decades is not a trivial matter. Congress, if you don't wake up now to reality, you're going to bury yourself sooner than one can imagine.

Let Mrs Soniya Gandhi say something instead of her party members. Why Mr. Rajdeep has not contacted Mrs. Gandhi in this regard?

Gulam is a traitor. For a long time he had been enjoying the honey of power.I think he himself has fallen a prey to BJP.They had fallen heavy on Gulam.

Pawan Khera ji must understand that RG-SG are no more in demand & they must step aside asap. Period. Not willing to accept is first sign of downfall
