I wanted to ask if you knew where Aguti's fell onto the rodent linage? I can't seem to find much information on them in regards who there closest living extant relatives are

The coipu is native of chile as well, but only in the humid areas (central-southern chile)

A myth its that first rodents were herbivores, first rodents were omnivores, as seen by their Bunodont brachydont molars and mainly arboreal locomotion (arboreal animals are mainly omnivorous) even there are some omnivorous rodents like dormice, majority of squirrels and like 80% of muroids, only 2 sub orders have 100% herbivorous rodents, 99% of caviomorphs are herbivores, majority of scuirids are omnivores and also muroids

I saw a mistake, in the map for josephoartigasia was wrong, josefoartigasia extended into argentina and uruguay to, it was discovered in uruguay and it´s name is because José Gervasio Artigas, an uruguayan independence hero
