Hi Light Den, I just received a Nikon D5000, and as you stated I need Sparkocam to get a live preview to come up on my computer, but I want to know because I can't find it, the option to keep the live preview on indefinintely? unless my camera is just too old?

I couldn't switch to live view when my camera was plugged in and then when I went to go see what would happen when I use the webcam utility with OBS it shuts off the screen entirely. It says I can't start live view at current settings or under current conditions. Also the longest I can set my monitor off delay is 30 mins. I'm using the D3500.

Hi, I have the Nikon z6 and I am using it as a web camera. I hope you can assist, the video color quality is grayed out. Can you tell us what settings you are using or if you have a suggestion to fix this issue? Appreciate it.

I bought a Nikon Z 30 to use as a webcam. I have the Nikon Webcam Utility installed, and I bought a CAM Link 4k to connect to my laptop. When previewing my camera feed in either the Webcam Utility or the Elgato software, the camera feed is delayed just slightly. Is this common? I'm used to my logitech webcam where it is like I'm looking in a mirror when previewing the camera.

Ive watched a few videos all talking about just simply plugging in using the USB? The only USB cable I have is the data transfer cable. Are you talking about a HDMI Mini to USB?

Is there a trick to get the Nikon D4 working with CamLink 4k? You used a D4s in your video, I have a D4 with latest firmware and it doesn't feed video to my MacBook when I trigger live view. I'm using the HDMI out to the CamLink 4k USB. I can't tell if the camera is incompatible or the camLink isn't working. I also tried with a D5100, same result. Both cameras feed HDMI out to my monitor if I connect them directly to it.

Hi, thanks for the Video. My Nikon D3500 doesn't connect to OBS. I just showes the Web Utility Logo and doesn't switch to the actual Video from my Nikon. Any Tipp on how to fix that? Thank you

So do the cameras stay on and not go to sleep? I know these cameras have a live view timeout, but I guess the Webcam Utility keeps them running while plugged in? I'm planning to use mine for live streaming, so I'd want it to run indefinitely or at least 4 hours.

How do I setup my d500 to keep me in focus using the nikon webcam software ?? When using the d500 and I put live view on and switch to AF-F I get continuous focus on my while moving. As soon as I plug in my micro usb 3.0 cable live view shuts off and the focusing stops following me. What am I doing wrong or is it better to just buy the elgato cam link ??
