Regeneration scenes have always been one of my favorite ones to watch in all fiction.

Damn, I never really understood how much minus one had regenerated in under 3 seconds. He deadass regenerated a whole eye and half of his face so quickly

The image of him floating with the hole blown out of his cheek gave me flashbacks of the Jaws ride at Universal

If this Godzilla is anything like the Heisei era Godzilla, he'll have a second brain, which could possibly be the reason for his return in a possible sequel

I don't usually like the "villain is defeated but regenerates" trope
but in this movie they actually did it right, you think they didn't do anything to Godzilla, turns out they blew a piece of his head off, but he regenerates
later Godzilla is defeated, it's over... and then BAM, he fully regenerates, which WAS ACTUALLY foreshadowed before
