I like how the modern era of Godzilla movies give us a variety of what we want to see. Toho presents Godzilla as a terrifying force of nature while we have the ancient balance keeper in the MonsterVerse.

I just saw it yesterday.... this was the best movie I've seen all year! What an incredibly excellent movie, I came in expecting to see just another Godzilla movie from the monsterverse, but the Japanese version, who are the creators of Godzilla did not disappoint. It was filled with drama, excellent character development, great acting, and action. For those who are not into subtitled movies like myself, let me say, this was not an issue and in fact, I couldn't have seen this movie any other way.

As a warning, this trailer makes it seem like there's a ton of action. This is not the case. There are a ton of excellent introspective moments, examining the ideas of self sacrifice, forced sacrifice, war trauma, survivors guilt, effects of nuclear war, and more. It spends a whole lot more time on these matters rather than being an American typical action film. This is by far my fav movie of the last few years, and the best Godzilla by country mile. Please don't let this scare you from watching it, I just want people to be aware it is not a monster mash film.

I noticed that they chose to capture Godzilla's presence at OUR eye level. Not a single scene from this trailer shows Godzilla from above, as if we were taller than him. I love when a director uses our point of view as humans throughout these giant monster movies. From our perspective, looking at the horror unfolding above our heads, is 10 times more frightening and effective.

The Japanese made this movie and since they created Godzilla, this will be spot on. The way Godzilla looks and behaves will be the way he’s supposed to be. Should be great!

I love how instead of just lighting up his dorsal plates like the others for his atomic breath like the others, they also stick about larger. This movie is going to show us what the original movie looked like for the people who watched it back then

The spot where he swings his tail and is looking at something below him is awesome, look at his head movements , it looks so organic like he is looking for someone or something ! I just love that scene and also just before he releases his atomic breath, the violence with how he throws his body forwards is terrifying !

After the first teaser trailer for 2014’s Godzilla with the line, “Now I am become death, the destroyer of worlds.” this is the Godzilla film I hoped we would have got. Looks amazing! Crazy to think this was a $15M budget.
