I just broke a constant-tension clamp on my vehicle, and have a few others missing including some horrible wire hose clamps, and was just looking for a replacement really and I have discovered there is a whole world of debate on clamp types haha! Still, pretty interesting and these t-bolt ones seem like a preferable option to many, and easier to use than the constant tension.

Good write up, going with T-bolts for the intercooler piping on my engine, thank you.

If you can get by with single use. I'd recommend Stepless Ear Clamps over using Worm Clamps, since it wears more evenly than worm clamps.
As for the T-Clamps, I'd recommend spring tensioned T-Clamps instead since it holds better with temperature fluctuations.

Would be good to know difference between the tension clamps found on many cars. Ones that you squeeze together. Ring or flat types. Good or bad…

Hey What’s the smallest diameter T Ball can I get . I have a hydraulic lines 5/8”-1” diameter. Thank you nice video

Notice also that the edges are not flat - they have a tiny flange that will keep the clamp from digging into the hose! - T-bolt clamps that is.

Nice video. Thanks. What do you think about a crimp clamp?

Did you know you can get worm drives that are not serated and do less damage to the hose ? (especially with a little rubber grease added)

Constant tension spring, locking, and T bolt clamps exist

I just used some t bolt clamps for the first time and I can’t tell when it’s tight enough. Im used to feeling tension like you do with the worm clamps. How do i know when it’s tight enough???

Can you open the T-bolt clamp, in the case where you don't want to disconnect the hose from the fitting?

Constant pressure clamps is the only way to go!

Thanks, I'm adding 4 t-bolt clamps to my new hoses but I have no clue what size I need.

This is why you should never use an "american style" hose clamp on a soft hose. But the T-bolt... I don't know. It might work but I'm not sure you will get the clamping force required, the hose and spigot is also of valid interest.
High tightening torque is not the same as high clamping force.

Switche all my worm hose clamps to t-bolt on my air hoses. No more leaks for me.
