Thanks for this video, I am currently looking at nursing as a second career, currently a social worker. I want to eventually get my BSN for the specialties that I’m interested in, but I also want to get on the hospital floor as quickly as possible. I’m looking at the ASN as the better option for now.

Thank you for this video. My daughter graduates from high school in a few months and the Associate route is what we’ve decided to do. Thank you for the info.

I remember watching this video when it first came out even though I had zero interest in nursing, here I am again now with ALLL the interest, LOL

I’m going for my bsn starting as a freshman next week. I decided to go the bsn route because I’m older and wanted to get it all out the way. Back when I was a environmental worker for the hospital I seen a nurse get let go because she didn’t get her bsn from adn within the time frame it was sad to see.

Thank You Courtney ❤I needed that. I’m in school now and I was going to go for LPN to RN, but I think I’d rather go RN associates, then get My bachelors, it’s only a little more time for ASN. 😤

I totally agree with the ADN nurses and also nurse who were LPN and CNA’s (I went that route) are more apt to jump in and help. Where a lot of BSN nurse come straight into it w/o any healthcare background. I’ve seen BSN nurses who never worked the floor in their entire career and it shows. A lot of them are quick to delegate simple task that it took you more time to walk over and tell me this than if you just did it yourself 😂. Currently I’m doing an RN to MSN program and skipping the bachelor’s degree. I chose to do it that way because it saves me money not to go thru every step.

I have an ADN my formal employer wanted me to get my BSN but was only going to give .50 extra on the hour. I really liked it there and did not think past that . My thought was, I will retire from here. Now that I have had a new knee to the L and and new ankle to the R. I am looking for more work from home. It seems that they are wanting that BSN. Looks like I may be going back to school.

I see students from private collages that push through bachelors students in one and a half years at 4x the price. I went through k a 2 year ADN program that took 2 years. I’m going for BSN now at the same college.

Where I live you are required to get your CNA before applying for the RN program! The LPN program is 2 years and ASN is 3 years 😡 I am beyond annoyed!
