I made a plant hanger from 550 cord, battle cord and carabiners. First, I did a DNA Spiral with 2 different colors. Made 2 belts, and connected them in the middle. Used battle cord for the vertical supports, and as the hanging line. Connected both DNA Spirals with the battle cord verts using carabiners. Finish with large carabiners at hang point

This is so simple and very neat way for me to finish off a plant gift to friends and family .
I have some young ones heading to campus so this is nice fake or real succulent plant gift I can give …it makes their dorm or apartment off campus feeling more like home.

Thanks so much! I used a 150cm (59in) string on a 10cm (4in) pot and left 14cm (5.5in) "residue" for the pot to hang... if anyone wants an exactish starting point 😄

Another #suggestion . Fix an old overcoat with paracord if the zipper is broken. Just use eyelets and paracord, no buttons just stopperknots. Just make a loop to go through a buttonhole and attach it to the stopperknot. Anyway great upload thx!

Is there a way to measure your needed length for smaller bottle too?

Theoretically, can this simple method be used to suspend a, let's say, 50lb planter 20' off the ground? I'd use 550 cord, a carabiner, and a pulley system with rope. Thanks!
