How to make a simple customized macrame plant hanger

This video shows you how to make a simple customized macrame plant hanger using cotton chord. They may also use twine. The number of knot lay is a little flexible. I typically have 2-3 layers depending on the pot size. I hope you find this video useful!

I used 4 60 inch cords and it made a perfect small hanger for a 4 inch pot. I can't imagine how shorter cords would work.

It was very easy but there is no way that each of you cords were only 3 feet long. I used 4 feet long cord & it was still shorter than I wanted it.

I love the simple, easy design, but 36" isn't anywhere near long enough for a 4 x 5 " planter. These cords must be much longer to start.

Is a granny knot ok for the first knot? Seems be bit easier?(granny knot is knot we use in crochet that can undo with a pull in the other direction?
