Yeah, as a Christian who just learned recently that "biblically accurate" angels look like that, whenever an angel shows up in the Bible they are mainly in human form ( for example, they showed up twice in the Old Testament with Abraham) there was the occasion when Gabriel the Archangel shows up to Mary telling her she's going to have Jesus but it doesn't say what he looked like. But yeah, whenever an angel shows up as an actual angel he does say "be not afraid" or "do not be afraid". But what angels look like isn't important, what matters is Jesus and his love for all you lovely people!!😊😊

Hey Robert, local Christian missionary and Bible nerd here to tell ya that yeah, those angels are described in the Bible that way. Not all angels but a specific kind.

“I looked, and each of the four cherubim had a wheel beside him, and the wheels sparkled like beryl. All four wheels looked alike and were made the same; each wheel had a second wheel turning crosswise within it. The cherubim could move in any of the four directions they faced, without turning as they moved. They went straight in the direction they faced, never turning aside. Both the cherubim and the wheels were covered with eyes. The cherubim had eyes all over their bodies, including their hands, their backs, and their wings. I heard someone refer to the wheels as “the whirling wheels.” Each of the four cherubim had four faces: the first was the face of an ox, the second was a human face, the third was the face of a lion, and the fourth was the face of an eagle.”

There’s multiple instances where angels are seen in the throne room of Heaven. They can have appearances of animals, people, wheels. And multiple prophets and people wrote about seeing them in different times. They ain’t no babies flying around naked, they’re pretty freaking terrifying. It’s why they introduce themselves with “DONT BE AFRAID” although it probably didn’t do too much.

I should add that the ones that have a more human form, or take on a more human form, are the ones that come down from heaven to speak to people. You see this all throughout the Old Testament and when Gabriel comes to Mary and Joseph. The freaky ones with 6 wings and 4 faces and eyes all over are the ones that stay in heaven, usually in the presence of God, worshipping and glorifying God all day every day.

Honestly, as an American, I agree with your rant about shoes. I've grown up with my parents teaching me to not wear shoes in the house. I go over to my friends' houses and all but one is all like, "Why are you taking off your shoes? You really don't have to." It's cleanliness and respectful.
