Very nice problem Sir. I just went ahead and called Fake CP 100, SP 112.5, then calculated Actual CP is 1/1.25 times of SP. Since 90 +22.5=112.5 hence 90 is Actual CP. Hence 1000 kg Fake CP means 900 kg Actual CP. Thank you Sir!

My approach for this question is ..
He claims to get 12.5% profit i.e if he sells 1 kg =1000g he is getting 1125(assuming 1g=1 rupee) and he is actually getting 1250 profit (25% is actual profit) on 1000 ..
Therefore actual gain for this case would be(error/claim) (1250-1125)/1125 .. it will give you therefore % would be 1/9 i.e if he sells 1000g he is actually selling 900g
Option C is the answer

The way I thought of it was, since he professes to sell 1000gm and claims a profit of 12.5, means he has earned 1125gm worth.
But since he actually is making 25% profit,

X * (5/4)=1125
X = 900.

Sir, in this question profit is on sales so, how can we assume cp 100 and sp 112.5

Sir,
Cp 1000gm=1000rs
Sp 1000gm= 1000*(100+12.5)/100
But,
Let
For
xgms he used to sell =1000*(100+12.5)/100
For
..1000gm =1000*(100+12.5)/100*1/x*1000

Overall profit equal to 25
Therefore
Cp =1000

Profit =15
From solving equation we get
x=900

Yeah.. great really... I went like
the most of the comments seen here once after trying and getting the answer... Here as follows..

12.5 or 25.. both are good for the number 8.. so I took it like
he buys for 8 and sells for 10 thinking that he sells for 9..

So
for 10 rupees, if it is 1000 g, then
for 9 rupees, it is 900 g..
