Hw = 2

Let quantity = 30 item
At rupee = 100 each

Total value = 30 * 100
3000 (cost price)

2/3 at 20 % profit
1/3 at cost price

2/3 = 20 item at 20 percent profit
So 20 * 20 = 400 profit

1/3 at cost price no profit no loss

Overall profit = 400

Profit percent = profit/ cost price * 100

400/3000 * 100

40/3
= 13.33 ans

Hw-1...36
Hw-2..13 1/3
Let the quantity be 12. 100/each= 12*100=1200 (total value)
Atq. 2/3 of item, i.e, 2/3*12=8
Profit=8*(20% of 100=20)
8*20=160
¹/³ at cost price so no gain no lass

Profit percent =profit/cp*100
160/1200*100 =13.3333 or 13 ¹/³

HW 1 for the shopkeeper ques we can do it more faster method let cp =100 mp = 170 (as given that 70% profit ) sp= 136(discount of 20% on mp) so profit % will be 36% (as sp=136 and cp =100)

H.W. 2 (b)

Total quantity = 3 @ 100/ item
(So, Total Value= Rs 300)
Now, only ⅔ are sold at profit = 2 @ Rs 20/ item = Rs 40 of profit
⅓ are sold at CP so Rs 0 profit.

2 —> 40
⅔ —> x

x= 40/3% = 13⅓ %
