What is an API?

API - Application Programming Interface
- Allows to communicate with two or more Applications

Ex: Youtube, bank websites, facebook all other websites

Why we use?
- To exchange data/ to transform the data

Exchange data between client and server
Client - browser
Server - Facebook, youtube etc.,

How it works??
URL - Uniform Resource Loader
- A unique reference to a web resource
- to identify the exact location from the computer network

Http request - A request made by the client to the host on the server.

- URL

- Request Method
Ex: Get, Post, put, delete

- Body/parameters
Ex: Channel Name = Uipath by Sujitha

- Authentication

http response - the response to the client made by the Resource

- Response code
Ex: 200 Ok, 401

- Response
Ex: json format/xml
