PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS — From the report of Corporal Cleyton McDonald, lightly edited for clarity: "On October 3, 2019, at 10:41 p.m., I advised dispatch that I was in pursuit of a black Dodge Charger on Interstate 430 northbound at Rodney Parham. The Charger had been speeding, and made a sudden lane change from lane one across to lane three. I tried to read the vehicle's license plate but, never got close enough to see it.

I continue to pursue the vehicle traveling westbound on Highway 10. The operator of the Charger was driving erratically, swerving between lanes,, and had turned its headlights off.

The Charger continued to drive in that manner, running several red lights. At 10:44 p.m., I advised Pulaski County and Little Rock Police Department units in the area that I had lost sight of the vehicle at Highway 10 and Taylor Loop. No ASP vehicles were damaged in the pursuit."

This 5 minute pursuit was more entertaining than most 45 minute pursuits I’ve seen

I got a homie who is a cop in Orlando Florida. His words exactly

“I don’t even waste my time chasing after people in high speed chases. It’s dangerous and it creates more danger. Best to end it before someone dies”

The moment he turned off the lights, you can tell this is not his first rodeo 😂

The last turn the cop’s transmission broke. You could hear it whining right as he ended the pursuit.

There comes a point in which public safety is in danger by the police driving fast as well. Let them go and live.

The fact this guy chased him going 125mph on surface streets is insane. Any reasonable cop would have backed off when he got off the highway.

The cop blowing a red light at 120 MPH is crazy

I'm amazed that this cop was blowing through red lights at over 100 mph! This video should be used for training on what NOT to do... putting many people's lives in danger over a speeding ticket! Very poor judgment in my opinion.

It never ceases to amaze me how much danger the police are willing to place the public in for a traffic violation.

The guy in the Hellcat outclassed the officer in machinery and driving ability.

This is one of those time that I can say it’s more dangerous to have this officer behind the wheel and on duty than to have one less officer. He’s a horrible driver making bad decisions on who to chase and when

To everyone thinking he used a kill switch, he didn't. His brake lights were still coming on.

He just turned the lights off and used the DRLs

this cop is the example that Need for Speed Hot Pursuit used when developing their AI drivers

I’m not a trooper but my agency does allow us to chase pretty aggressively. Even I would cancel myself from that early on though, when it gets to the point where you can’t maintain your lane and blow through red lights - you know you’re too emotionally invested in it. That’s how you get written up or you kill an innocent motorist over traffic violations. “If the juice ain’t worth the squeeze” are words to live by.

Just let em go man, you're putting people at more risk than the guy ever was in the first place. He was speeding on an open freeway at 20+ over max, then you go chase him at 130 in a 45, ridiculous.

As a car / driving enthusiast if I was the officer I’m sure I’d try too but there’s absolutely no way to justify that danger to innocent people

A relentless pursuit resulting from poor judgement. This is a “pick your battles” moment for the officer. He should have let it go. One car driving dangerously fast is bad enough; two is worse.

Legend has it that the Black Ghost Charger was an inmate executed by the state... At Midnight if you're quiet you can still hear the roar of the mighty Dodge charger
