i'm from new mexico, usa. i grew up with these at practically every local fair. it's easily the most popular ride for a lot of americans i bet, especially those from small towns. it really is one of the most fun rides and growing up i can remember lines of people halfway across the midway on a busy weekend night waiting just to ride this. i remember doing it once when i was in my 20s and went to the local fair with some friends after a night of drinking and we ran into some school acquaintances and had a chance to catch up and laugh then ride the zipper it was fun. the ride was just at the state fair last month but i couldn't go on it because it was a rainy and windy day and a few rides werent in operation. interesting to know that europe isn't very familiar with this national treasure! p.s. i have NEVER seen it with the whole "captain america" theme in decades of fair-going.

Only touring Zipper in Europe. There is one in storage in Birmingham UK not opened for years, at one point there was four touring the UK.

No fair, that Zipper allows single riders! Most here in the states cut that out. :( I used to ride alone lots of times on the Zipper back in the day but not now..

Rumurs are going around that the company that makes the Zipper is going out of business so this ride might be disappearing if someone doesnt start manufacturing this ride, the parts are going to be hard to come buy.

I know its probably random but I’m really curious if anybody knows of what fair this zipper came from, I know it’s refurbished and saw the way it looked before it’s refurbishment but I’m i can’t find any video with it (before the refurbishment) if anybody knows where it came from PLEASE I’m very curious about the story of that zipper
