I just love it when you are feeding the pigs. Those little piggie butts all lined up like that wiggling around are so cute.

My dream garden would be to grow, celery, carrots, onion, garlic and tomatoes year round. LOL! I think I would need a temperature controled hothouse. That would be a dream. Oh...I'd throw in some bell peppers and hot peppers. Now, we're talkin'!!!

Glad you liked Cowboy candy. 👍 I picked two Jalapeños and diced for my cornbread muffins to go with ham and great northern beans in the slow cooker.

I so appreciate getting ideas from you on how one gardens and grows in the desert. I am moving to Los Angeles County up at about 1700ft. outside the city and I have no experience with desert gardening. It helps so see someone else do it successfully.

We enjoyed the farm tour on Saturday. Lots of great information was shared and you answered all of our questions, so awesome job Lori! We'll be implementing many of the things we learned on our own tiny farm. We hope Duane got some well-deserved rest and is feeling better. And Happy Belated Birthday, Lori! - Kathy & Robert

So happy to see this video in my feed 😊You two really have it goin’ on! I love to see how you contain and feed the different animals you raise. Two things I’m extremely jealous of, your basil jungle and your amazing water pressure! Take care you great couple😊

Your so lucky living In such a mild climate. Here in the Alps (mountains in Germany) nearly nothing grows in winter. Just alpine flowers 💐 and chickweed

About the same as you time-wise. Just picked my limes, lemons starting to change, overwintered my peppers and I just planted all my garlic too. Impressed to see the Loquats breaking out...will need to watch for mine soon too!
Thanks so much for yesterday...told Lori that "If Duane can host a tour...so can you!" :) Hopefully some well-deserved R&R is just around the corner for both so you can recharge over the coming weeks.

The turkeys will be gone soon, so will the pigs for the holiday season, right? You might get some time off 😉 happy birthday, Lori! Oh, to be 29 again!

Hi Duane, Hi Lori - Happy Belated Birthday, Lori. 21 again? Getting Edge of Nowhere Uploads is to me, like turning out into the orchard to fly free, is to the geese and ducks. Pure joy. Like seeing those seeds spring up. Are there many restrictions buying seed internationally? I often wonder why you don't ferment your grain for the pigs, or for all the other animals, for that matter.

Worn out... then sick.
You predicted the future Duane.
I know I joked around with ya, but in all seriousness, forcing yourself to take some down time when you feel that way can preempt the illness.

Oh, and Happy Birthday Lori!

Hey guy my sister garden is doing well.
Collards, turnips, carrents cabige, I got her about 10 stalks of suger cane.
We are waiting on suger beats.
And she's about ready to plant snow peas? And some Asian stuff I can't say and sure can't spell.

I have planted the fall hay except in one new field we are trying to get plowed.
I set aside a little plot she wanted to make a multiple grain flour. Wheat, rey and oats.
She wants to make bread completely off the farm.
The flour, duck eggs, lard, she even wants to dry some gulf water to make homemade salt.
