✪👉🏼 Who am I?

Hii Star! 🌟 I am no-one, but a common middle class student amongst you people only, who has struggled a lot in my life and has achieved seemingly impossible dreams in my young age!

A national level topper (AIR 2) in many entrance exams with many academic and non-academic achievements, I have recently passed out as M.S. General Surgeon from one of the India's reputed medical institute - AIIMS J.

A son of a farmer, coming from a poor family of small village, my father is still running a small chocolate shop in village. My family of 4 persons was running on a minimal earnings of 2500rs./month since past 30 years and I literally used to think multiple times before asking parents for even a single penny and usually used to avoid that until it’s extremely needed. Studying by borrowing books from his seniors, I also suffered depression, negativity, bullying and many ups downs during my journey.

Despite so many difficulties, I never excused about his problems. No, I am neither inborn talented, nor I have some special senses. I have worked by my own ways and created many out of the box, smart ways that helped me to gain very high amount of success in very less amount of time and energy.

Although I am a doctor, I am also very passionate about guiding my younger brothers and sisters! I believe that if you have something more than others, you should give it to those in need! And for that, what is a more better option than knowledge!

I along with my wife Dr. Anjali know and have experienced many untouched secrets of subconscious mind, mental peace and psychology, positivity, spirituality, meditation and other vital aspects of life, based on which we progressed in our life together!

Thank you so much for your time reading this. I respect your efforts and energy.

I joined MBBS in 2011 when we had a fee of around 3.5-4 lakh per year (I took admission solely on merit basis with no donations whatsoever) inclusive of all hostel and mess expenses combined. totaling to about 24 -25 lakhs in entire MBBS tenure. later I joined BJMC Ahmedabad for my MS general surgery and we would get a stipend of around 60k-90k (tax free) throughout the four years tenure including SRship. which adds up to about 14, 40000-24lakhs depending on an individual's expenses and savings combined. I could pay off my entire MBBS expenses during my PG training leading a comfortable life as far as expenses are concerned. Now I am doing my MCh Urology residency at KEM, Mumbai.
so in the hind site, I feel that my decision to do MBBS from a private was worth it because I could pay off the entire amount spent to study MBBS.
important takeaway's from my experience-
1. Be willing to put in all your blood and sweat to fetch a govt seat for your PG studies/Superspecialization- I have studied like there was no tomorrow for my NEET PG and NEET SS exams. Similar should be your approach. And I am the right example of how a Private College Medico could crack govt college seat despite the prejudices that private medical college students face.
2. Taking admission in Private medical college also depends on financial condition of family
3. Taking a loan and doing MBBS is not worth it if you are the only one who is going to repay the loan or if your family earning member is going to pay the loan as it puts unnecessary pressure of performing at every exam that is to come your way in the future, and trust me, you don't want to prepare with that pressure lingering in your subconscious. Also, uncertainties in NEET exams these days make predicting future next to impossible.
4. Plan your expenses and potential future earnings. Calculate and then decide what works for you.
5. MBBS and Post MBBS is way different than 12th standard Biology. it is difficult to predict how well one can adjust to the MBBS curriculum. So one needs to factor in that as well.
6. Given the fees structure of private medical colleges these days- my personal opinion is not to take up MBBS unless your family financial condition is sound enough for you to keep studying without any pressures of paying back till you start earning decently good, which I assume is after post graduation/superspeciality. and even then, its not easy to payback the entire amount in a short span of time.
7. If MBBS is your calling, giving another attempt and trying for a govt seat is much more sensible as far as my opinion goes, given that today's fee structures are sky high and don't make sense to me.
8. Investing is important and learning how to invest during your PG days is extremely important to grow your money and have surplus at the end of your curriculum. Keeping money idle in your savings account is a big NO NO!

you may or may not agree to the points that I have listed above. Having done my training through both Private and Government medical colleges, I feel that I am the right person to opine on the given subject.
perspectives may vary and I am open to discussion on the same.
good luck to future aspirants!

Everything is fine.. Students doing mbbs in pvt is okay for the society... But same student doing bds /bams, /bhms/ bsc nursing, from govt clg, people will not respect them.

I am a student, i scored 580. in neet along with my bsc nursing, but people think, neet me fail ho gyi hogi isliye nsg kiya hai... Same i hv frndz in bds govt clg, still are looked down by mbbs pvt Students.

Seriously, hamare maa.baap.k pas utne paise nhi isliye ham pvt or abroad nhi krte.

As someone from a private medical college paying a total of 70 lakhs for the whole mbbs i will say that it is indeed a big decision. I am in the best private college of my state which has a very good reputation and opd. Im personally very happy with my decision. The facilities are good and so is the studies and opd strenght. However the thing that is the drawback is definitely a drawback. I no longer have the option of taking a private pg seat because my family can simply not afford it. Also im the first doctor in my family with a single income household.

I am doing my mbbs from a private medical college in Kerala..lost government seat last year by a few marks.. i come from a normal middle class family and i think mbbs is totally worth doing in this state...

Pros
1. Fees is very low compared to other states. ( Mine is 7.7 lakh a year)
Hostel is not mandatory to live in
2. Good level of medical education in kerala
3. Kerala - "Gods own country "

Concs
1. Cut off even for the private colleges here is really high. You should have missed the government seat only by a few marks.
2. If you are coming from north india you need to learn Malayalam is a mandatory one.
3. Culture and food is different but its not a con for someone like me who love to explore new cultures and people.

Keeping all these factors in mind, mbbs for me and my family is worth it seems.

Other states situation I don't know about

I got admission in private medical college they said total fees is one crores for entire duration and hostel fees separately... seeing the amount I don't think so i will have an easy life to recover with my salary... I took admission abroad total fees was around 28 lacs..came back to India in 2021 Cleared my FMGE screening test now preparing for PG... doing MBBS in private medical colleges in India is a debt trap for middle class.. exception if your parents are rich enough then do it in India..

Dear Darshan. money is only for investing and it is art of investment so compare on basis of mainly hands on experience chance, team work, hostel life. Sports life personality between private and government. Ragging. Hostel infra and college infra chance for out of India exposure, R&D exposure and chance to communicate with Top talented doctor, chance to work abroad across the world .. create video but do not compare on money in that video so other factors only. Kitna milega important nahee hai kitna job satisfaction hoga

For example kmc Manipal mbbs can practice in Australia? Is it true second there is tie with usa mbbs university so get exposure in early age

Pl help me so I can decide for my son.
