Introducing Creating and Using Orthogonal Fractional Contrast Codes (Part 1)
In this video I introduce a basic research context that includes a continuous dependent variable and a four-level categorical variables. I demonstrate how to run a one-way between-subjects ANOVA in jamovi to test for mean differences between the four groups on the dependent variable, and then highlight some of the limitations of this traditional approach. In the subsequent videos in this series I demonstrate how to create and use orthogonal fractional contrast codes to test for mean differences using regression/general linear model.
