How to Build a Computer for Gaming 2013 Tutorial (Bitfenix Prodigy) Part Two

Today I give a full tutorial on how to build a gaming computer for 2013. This is based on my $600 Mini ITX PC featuring the Bitfenix Prodigy however it applies to building most computers. In the video I show how to install the graphics card / GPU, hard drive, power supply and wire everything up as well as do all of the cable management.

Aside from a few hardware differences (graphics card, case, RAM), I got everything mentioned in this tutorial and followed the directions. I had to stop and look for a little bit when things were a bit different, but I ended up getting it all worked out! My computer is working just lovely at this very moment! Thanks for the guide! :)

Amd Cards just look so cheap, People wonder why Amd is so cheap and like its because they are not greedy etc. When in fact its because they use cheaper materials on their cards. Before anybody calls me a fanboy im not talking performance just quality, Amd fans always talk about price price price, me price is not a problem so I get the good stuff. GO GREEN TEAM!!!! =P

No Jedi tricks ha but I can say it's almost always best to buy your parts all at once. If you buy stuff in advance almost always it will either go down in price or be replaced with something better.

Sure, that's fine. I listed a good Core i5 in the full build guide description.

You probably need a DVI-Analog to VGA Adapter

to connect it, you plug the adapter onto the port on the back of your case
that is compatible with it(It is a whitish colored port) next, plug your VGA
cable onto the adapter, and have the other end hooked up to your monitor, I
had the same problem and this solved it for me.

I hope this helps

Thank you so much! I just completed my first build and you were pretty much the only source I used for parts and constructing it, so thank you..

No, it depends on how many fans you have/use in your case, and how many fan connections (those little 3-pin cables) there are your motherboard.

For example if you have a motherboard with only 2 fan connections (one for the CPU fan, another one for the main casefan), you'll need to use the molex adapter on your power supply to power any additional fans you might install.

I hope i made it clear this way.

You are totally correct, mate. I have been thinking about this for a while and I think I am gonna save up more and get a better rig, maybe going with Duncan's $1000-ish build or something. I'm not gonna use this rig strictly for gaming, I do coding and Photoshop, and I guess the 3570k is more suitable for me. That thought completely change my mind and I decided to build a rig that is good for everything I need, not just gaming, and also future proof maybe for the next 3 years or so.
