Creamy Beef-Stuffed Shells


Ingredients:

- 4 caccavella shells
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 shallot, finely chopped
- 1 carrot, chopped into cubes
- 1 celery stick, chopped into cubes
- 400g ground beef
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1/3 tsp nutmeg
- 300ml cooking cream
- 450ml tomato sauce
- 100g mozzarella cheese, shredded
- Basil leaves, for garnish

Method:
1. Cook the caccavella shells in salted water until al dente. Rinse with cold water, drain, and set aside.
2. In a large frying pan, heat olive oil and sauté the shallot, carrot, and celery until softened.
3. Add ground beef and break it into small pieces. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Mix well.
4. Pour in the cooking cream, mix again, and cook on low heat until the liquid is reduced. Set aside.
5. Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan).
6. Spread tomato sauce on the bottom of a deep baking dish.
7. Stuff each caccavella shell with the filling and place them in the baking dish.
8. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden.
10. Garnish with basil leaves and serve. Enjoy!
