Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis took to Instagram on Wednesday to mock the backlash they received after revealing their kids’ bathing routine on Dax Shepard’s ‘Armchair Expert’ podcast in July. Dax and his wife, Kristen Bell, Cardi B, Jake Gyllenhaal, Dwayne Johnson, Chris Evans and Jodie Turner-Smith have also weighed in on the debate over how often to shower.

Obviously if you've been working and sweating all day you need to take a shower but if you are just lounging around the house and not getting filthy I don't see what's wrong with skipping a day here and there. I always use the expression that you need to eat a little dirt sometimes. I think it builds a better immune system to not be over sanitized

Not everyone sweats the same nor does everyone have oily skin and hair. In fact, if non oily people bathe daily it can cause severe dry skin and worse.

When I get out of the shower my husband says “I feel dirty now” and goes for a shower. I feel the same after he’s had a shower too.

I used to run the shower and pretend I was taking a shower.. I am now 28, and shower almost everyday now. But tbh.. if we didn't have society giving us access to clean water from a faucet, I probably would go without showers for days on end. It builds character. I come from the millennial generation, where "rub some dirt on it" was a solution to injury. 🤣🤣🤣
