CHAT WITH BRAINSEARCH - Ep. 6 Part 1
Isis So is a Master's student in Neuroscience at the Institute of Medical Science at the University of Toronto. Her research uses neuroimaging techniques to study the neural correlates of recovery after traumatic brain injury.
0:00 Intro
0:33 Tell us about your neuroimaging research!
1:55 What is your hypothesis?
4:05 Compensation theory of structural, functional connectivity
5:05 Wouldn't you see improved function and behavior with increased connectivity?
6:04 Studying a neural network involved with brain function
7:02 Developing treatments for TBI
8:15 Can you target a specific network to treat TBI?
10:52 AI and machine learning in neuroimaging

About Us
BrainSearch is an online interview show created to help aspiring scientists connect with graduates, researchers, and professors.
What’s the point?
There seems to be a disconnect between passionate students and passionate researchers, especially in times of social distancing. We want to create a platform where high school and undergraduate students can learn from the experiences of those who have been through it all. In turn, interviewees get to share their unique ideas and thoughts with a younger audience through a single “coffee chat” conversation.
