In this video we sit down and talk about the things you may not like about living in Northeast Tennessee. We are both transplants to this area ourselves. We discuss the things we didn't like at first and occasionally struggle with. We also discuss some of the things our buyers from out of state struggle with, when moving to this area. Hear about everything from the slower pace of life, allergies, curvy roads, weather to coyotes and bears.

We specialize in helping people that are moving to Northeast Tennessee. If you have questions about the area, feel free to call, text or email us. A member of our team would be happy to assist you. Remember, it is never too soon to start planning your move. We hope to see you here, real soon!

Thank you so much for this video. I have to say, after planning to move to NE Tennessee for the past 10 years, I was almost afraid to watch this video for fear of you bringing up something that I truly couldn’t live with/by. Thankfully, the list provided me with MORE reasons to move instead of less!! 😊 I only have a little over one year left until I get to move to the Tri-City area and trust me when I say that I am literally counting down the days!! Keep your wonderful videos coming, as I look forward to every single one!

Very interesting video. Shad, I was born, raised and still live in Indiana and an IU grad as well :) My parents are from SWVA and I have family in Kingsport, Johnson City, and Surgoinsville TN. I recall the long drives from the Tri-Cities airport as a kid visiting my grandparents in the 70s. The last time I visited the area was in 2019 and the mountains are beautiful!

Just got back from Johnson city Vacation trip, stayed at the Carnegie Hotel, Visited the Shady Valley area all the way down to Loudon, Love the area, best breakfast ever at the Country Diner. We will be looking to move there, once the home prices prices stabilize.

Grew up in Florida and saw snakes all the time lol. We had training in the girl scouts on how to handle snakes.

You gave us such a great perspective of what's going on in Johnson City, TN. One of the cities in TN that we're considering as a new home!

You had me at a slow pace. We are visiting this summer and I can't wait. The more i listen to your podcast, the more i know that this is the area for us . We live in CT, but the area where we live is conservative but alot of the NY snobs are trying to change it, we hope to make it to retirement to get out of CT. Our jobs and personal stuff keeps us here.🙁. We cant wait to visit .

Im thinking about moving to Hawkins county from CT. My mother in law and brother in law moved down 5 years ago. We're all very right leaning and agree with how the majority of people think and live in TN, its beautiful

Middle TN 30 years. Only thing don’t like is the humidity in summer. Beautiful springs early and beautiful weather in fall. Manchester no dirt roads.

I found this video to be very helpful. I enjoyed this fireside chat format and hope to see more like it. The family and I are moving down there next year. Haven’t 100% settled on the tri-cities but it’s very appealing.

Great discussion and information. Thank you!
I'm looking into possibly moving to the area next year or so. I understand you not talking politics or religion, but I'm glad you touched on the politics and am interested in what types of churches you have in the area too.

We are seriously considering moving to NE Tennessee in the near future. We’ve been currently living in SW Florida since 2016. The traffic and population down here have exploded since then and we’re over it. We’re originally from a tiny town in MA that only had one traffic light so FL has been an adjustment for sure. We’re ready for a much slower paced life again and more moderate temps and of course 4 seasons😊 Guess we’ll be half backers haha! I subscribed to your channel yesterday and we’ll be watching your past videos. Thanks for all the great info!

Boiler Up! I'm looking around the Johnson City area, but inventory on the lakes is very low... patiently waiting.

People flee blue cities and blue states in the Midwest typically due to several things — the cold weather, high taxes and high cost of living, plus the social disintegration of their city (in the case of large cities, like Chicago), which often can be blamed on a the liberal politics of the place they are fleeing. Then they will move to a wonderful, unspoiled, low tax base, low cost of living area like north East Tennessee, and what do they do? They vote Democratic. I have seen this in my relatives, and it never ceases to amaze me.

Great video. Thanks for all the information. Question: what would you say is the biggest difference between NE Tennessee and East Tennessee?
