It’s pretty awesome to see a list that’s actually your favorites, not the same top five the internet has bullied folks into repeating. There’s only so many times you can hear about how Final Fantasy VI and Chrono Trigger — as much as I love them — are the undisputed greatest games in the genre.

You need to try Ar Tonelico (the 2nd game in particular)! It’s niche but has an AMAZING, deep story and characters. I think you’d really enjoy it, and the “fanservice” rep it has really doesn’t do the game justice at all. It’s totally different and much deeper than you’d expect!

justice for the Like a Dragon series!!! Just such an incredible series, one of my all-time favourites. They put so much heart and effort into these games. Great list! I REALLY need to play Earthbound- can’t believe I still haven’t yet 😂❤

i'm sick so my head isn't all there, but when i clicked the video i thought it was going to be top 25 moments in jrpgs! lol that would be a fun watch. but i enjoyed this one i always look forward to a femtrooper upload ❤

It's so interesting in the JRPG-fanatic community how we can all love the same genre but have SUCH different favorites and preferences within that sphere. I think your list really showcases your love of narrative and character above all else, as well as a really wholesome dose of nostalgia that should be in everyone's personal faves.

Chrono Trigger will always be my number 1, but Earthbound is sooo good. Persona 5 Royal, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, and FFVI are up there in the top 5 too, so it's really hard for me to rank those places.

It's incredible to see you as a lifelong JRPG fan put the Like a Dragon games so high up on your list given how recent they are. The first Like a Dragon is sitting in my backlog and this makes me want to play it so badly! But I have who knows how many hours of Metaphor and FFXVI to get through first, not to mention the new Mario & Luigi game and the DQIII remake coming so soon. It's a hectic time to be an RPG fan!
