Retro Game Collecting isn’t ALL BAD, right?! 😬

We’re heading to Columbus, Ohio, for TORG, the Ohio Retro Gamer Expo! In this video, I’ll focus on deals you can find at these events. I’ll ask vendors—who buy and sell games daily—what they think are the best deals today. I’m also working on my Sony PSP collection, and I’ll show you everything I picked up at the end.

As much as it stings me to see certain consoles and games I used to own and resold or traded in going for $100s if not $1000s, I've also collected other things in my life (cards, comic books, comic book related things like buttons and art) and the best piece of advice I was ever given about collecting anything is anything you like to read (or play) is going to also have other people interested, so enjoy it.

So I hope any person reading this comment understands that it's OK to just collect for the fun of it, and also collect something you'd enjoy playing.

I collect what I want to play. I don't get something rare or sealed or graded just to sit on the shelf and look at it, I know what I like and play it when I get it. It's about as simple as that.

While I understand there are some shady practices, hoarders, and other unsavory elements of any collecting scene, its possible to also hunt and enjoy what you want.

I will just say if you do happen to be a fan of horror, it seems you're screwed no matter what. LOL

People really don't realize how great OG Xbox is. It is such a better experience than PS2 and Gamecube for almost all multi-plat titles. There are also a ton of weird little exclusive titles on there that never get talked about.
