In this video, I go through 5 (ish) particularly beautiful pepper varieties. Also known as ornamental peppers, these plants are most commonly used as decorative planting around gardens or even as annual landscaping.

There are a LOT of ornamental peppers that I didn't cover here, so feel free to share your favorites below so we can take a look!

This year all my pepper foliage is green. I was concentrating on my pepper flavors. Next year I should add a splash of color the Black Pearl and Jigsaw. They look amazing !!!

The black pearl have great heat in the fruit and in proper soil will grow to 3-4 feet tall. One of my garden favorites.

Added Fish and Chinese 5 Color to my seed list when I watched this video in July. Zone 3a here, been starting seeds the past few weeks here and about 90% of my seedlings germinated <3 excited to watch them thrive!!!

Crazy. I love Fish Peppers. I think they taste great in a ton of different dishes. It's one of my favorites. The biggest gripe is its thinner placenta and tough skin.

Bought a Black Pearl on a whim. One of two plants in my garden I didn’t grow from seed. Really glad I did get it. It is a good looking plant.

I got a farmers market pepper I liked last fall so I saved the seeds and grew two plants that were so mysterious to me. Mystery solved, they are fish peppers! Interesting story and I can't believe my luck to find out all this about my wild looking peppers. Thanks.

I have 3 Black Pearl. I have them in those colourful 'Bootstrap' growbags, a red, a purple, an orange. I added flowers and herbs along with the pepper to create a beautiful display. Each one is different. Very unique looking!

Of all the peppers I’ve grown this year the prettiest is the Fillius Blue. Everyone asks about that as well as the Chinese 5 Colour. I started a bunch of plants for my daughter’s garden as well. She loves the flavour of the Chinese 5 Colour.
Love watching your channel!!

Definitely correct with the jigsaw mine has a ton of purple on it. Blue Christmas and jigsaw are my favorites. I get a ton of compliments on my purple ghost scorpion which started me on the pepper journey last year. I'm seeing how long I can keep it alive going on second year now trying to get at least 4 years out of it.

Buena Mulata is another ornamental pepper, and this one also tastes pretty good. It's has similar story as the fish pepper - seeds saved by Horace Pippin who made art and chilli breeding an important part of his life after his injury in the war. It was the first pepper I every grew and is still my favourite :)

I have grown the Jigsaw Pepper last year for the first time. Beautiful plants & the purple pods turned red & quite hot on the Scoville scale. Doing an experiment myself this year due to freeze out & bugs lost 2 rounds of summer/Spring garden starters. just beginning to transplant all my veggies to the garden area. Have 10 Jigsaw pepper plants along with many other varieties of pepper & tomatoes. Really enjoy your channel, just saw that you are doing an experiment as well trying to get production before the freeze. Will be watching & taking notes from you. Will be getting some of those Black Pearl seeds along with the Fish & Purple.
