I was part of the dev team at Griptonite for this game. It was a special experience at the time, just like it is now seeing that it didn't fade away after all these years. Thanks for keeping it alive!!

I was a programmer for this game, early in my career, and we worked much overtime. But honestly it was a labor of love, I have so many great memories of that dev team (some of us still work together!). Getting emotional reading all the great comments, thanks so much for making this video!

I always loved that the ports of the Sims were story-driven to make up for the lack of detail that the hardware allowed for.

I miss ‘The Sims Bustin’ Out’ and ‘The Urbz’. The story progression was incredibly entertaining.

I played the hell out of this game when I was a kid. Hitting me with a wave of nostalgia today.

Bustin Out was a cult classic at my school because they hadn't blocked a GBA emulator site from the school Chromebooks, and everyone found Bustin Out and loved it. It's such a good game. Don't think anybody finished it

It’s actually one of my favorite games on the GBA!

I never knew about this game and expected it to be lame, but honestly it seems like one of the best Sims games ever. A neighbourhood with a whole storyline and completable quests and even a twist at the end? Modern Sims games have almost none of that, apart from the occasional dlc.

Ched R Chase is an amazing name. It alludes to the cheese that he uses to make the pizza, but also makes reference to his endless desire for money, as well as being a call put to the famous Chevy Chase of white chicks fame.

AA: "Your quest ends in a fantastic way that invites more questions than it answers, which is really great worldbuilding at it's finest." *Character climbs into rocket and flies away as people watch*

The Sims bustin' out had one of the best storylines in any Sims game ever. It was full of SO many good side quests, you could buy yourself a miniature llama and ride a scooter everywhere. Daddy big bucks was my favourite character!

God, the way you grab that cartridge is both incredibly funny and cute, like delicately handling a beautiful memory. This is the kind of content I'm suscribed for

That guillotine in Uncle Hayseed's house when he gets robbed by Guiseppi always sent the younger me chills to the spine lol

I did actually play this masterpiece on an n-gage and some soundffects haunt me to this day. the stress from these minigames has not left me and fills my nightmares.

Oh man, I want to play this game now. I feel like the developers of the sims are really able to go wild with the dialogue in the small spin-offs that they know won't be as big as the main titles. The Sims Medieval is genuinely one of my favorite sims games because of this. Kind of grindy, but so silly.

I LOVED this game! My sister's already used all three save slots and I was afraid to overwrite them, so I played it FOR WEEKS without turning it off and just plugging my GBA in at night! I MASTERED the fishing mini game, and it was my moneymaker till the end. I was SO proud of myself when I finished the game, and witnessed the reveal of being an alien. 10/10 in terms of memory, but I haven't played it in so long so I can't vouch for how incredible it actually is.

I remember being shocked and impressed by the brilliance of this game. I think this is some of the most depth I've ever seen in a GBA game.
