This was the game that really hooked me on the Sims. I even tried to remake all the homes and families from Bustin' Out on the PC game. I would always wait to max out all my skills while still living at mom's house because the game would automatically fill your needs if they got too low so I'd use that "glitch" to max out my stats first before moving out.

I was given this game to play as a six year old. Immediately had it taken away for sending my sims skinny dipping. Was given it back at 8. Used the freeplay mode to make me, my sister, and our favorite cousins as a household. Built a house with no floor, ceiling, or wallpaper, and the "door" was a hole in the wall. All the sims died on the first night and the whole group of children gathered around the tv watching this game started screaming when the grim reaper showed up

God i love this game, thank you for the nostalgia

As a parent, I can confirm that Level 1 Humans also spend most of their time raging out at various things like Level 1 Sims do.

I played this with my mom when i was a kid, she was not a gamer of any sort, we burnt the house down fairly immediately, not understanding what to do. We had a blast, core memory. That was the last time i played a game with my mom, hell of a memory. Thanks man.

The "eugh" at the mop splatting on the puddle had me bustin' out, as it were, with laughter.

Over the last 21 years, I've played through this game so many times it's unreal. This was my first Sims game, it was how I discovered a love for building and designing things in video games, and it has always been a part of my life. Awesome to see you finally get your hands on "the good version" of Bustin Out, thank you for this one AA!

Can we just appreciate how much better animated the scooter is than any vehicle in any Sims game since?

It's still my favorite spin-off title of sims. I got hundreds of hours out of this on my gamecube.

The little “nyooo” noise the scooter made before you traded it was so goofy I had to rewind and listen again 😂

The year is 2003. The first job our sim gets pays $25 an hour. In 2003. For contrast, minimum wage in 2003 was $5.15.

Bustin out along with Urbz was the most “edgy” sims games. And then the gameboy/DS versions of every sims being COMPLETELY different entirely and always 10x better.

The game that taught me english haha.

Played many hundreds of hours on the PS2, always as a jock because keeping friends to be promoted was HARD as a kid.

Not our chaotic froggy man naming his Sim after not one but TWO noble-esque characters from TWO seasons of Critical Role! All in one Sim!
