That worked for me did not have the strength to string the bow with the other methods, this is easier while still a bit of a struggle for me I don't think I would have managed with out an old boot lace! Cheers

I want to start off with thank you for your content. Alway useful and informative. When installing my string. Should the string be twisted at all to keep all the strands together and make the string stiffer to add a pound or two to the gun? Or make sure string is not twisted so all the multi strands are free, loose, and singular? Any info will help tyvm.

Thanks for the tip stringing the bow is a pain can't get all of the cord out but at least the bow sting is on.

question.. i got a cobra replacement string off Amazon and it appeared to be too short. is that normal bc their hard to string? it was 17 inches

Thats a tasty looking crossbow pistol. Anyway. I'm looking for some advice. I used to do archery as a kid but disability has made that a bit hard so I have a crossbow pistol. Do you need to take the string off when not in use like you would a longbow?

What worked for me was using a shorter piece of paracord to pul the limbs back with the cocking mechanism, but not cock it but go halfway.. and put the string onto the bow and slowly release the cocking mechanism to remove the paracord.

I learned not to dry fire the hard way and i foolishly used a pencil to fire, foolish because it ripped many strings, i still dont know why i did it as i had over 20 bolts but i replaced the string and wont do that again lol
