I was taking a history class at a college as a 58 year old woman. A 20 something year old male took offense to my belief that if you move to a country it is your responsibility to learn the language. I heard him out but when I began to speak he interrupted me. Knowing I had the attention of the instructor and the rest of the students I put my hand up, and admonished him by saying " I listened to you now it is my turn to talk." He was pissed the rest of the class. And apologized to the instructor after class. Being the adult I am I thanked him [ though he would not acknowledge me ] for his apology and I laughed. He left angry. Because, he has been taught to not think 🤔 but to care. And caring without thinking can be as dangerous as not caring @ all.
