Home Improvement is a comfort show for me. I grew up in the 90’s and this was the first show I remember watching every week with my family, and when it hit streaming in 2021, both my parents passed suddenly and it helped (and still does to this day) me grieve. It brings back so many memories, so much nostalgia, laughter and it’s one of a very small group of shows I can binge watch and restart again over and over.

Thank you Tim Allen, cast and crew for this series.

1:57 awkward question. Tim Allen's dad died in a car accident when Tim was 11. I think Jimmy remembered this at the last second which is why he quickly mentioned his mother specifically.

First episode was awesome! If I remember right, it was Tim souping up the dish washer with an air compressor against Jills wishes, and of course blowing it up in the process, but not before electrocuting himself. One of the best lines of the series was when he was apologizing to Jill for his car addiction and he says (paraphrasing here) "I need to go to the Henry Ford Clinic" which of course is a play on the Betty Ford clinic for alcoholics.
