Subaru Auto Door Lock/Unlock on Subaru Outback/Legacy

In this video I show you how to set the auto door lock on your Subaru and how to set the auto door unlock on your Subaru Outback and Subaru Legacy.

This will show you how to automatically unlock the passenger doors with your key fob so you don't have to click multiple times on the key fob, or manually unlock form the driver's side door.

It will also you show you to automatically lock your doors on your subaru when you put the car in gear or reach vehicle speed.

Alex is the best! As we all get older our minds think of the craziest things right. So I understand all the programmable settings with the lock/unlock feature. But what if I’m in an accident and I’m unable to get out of the car bc it’s locked, or Im unable to reach the unlock button. (My brother witnessed an accident and had to break a window to get the poor guy out! He was driving an older Honda Civic)

Hey Alex, I just learned something useful for my 22 Outback Premium. Thanks! The headlights have been coming on too early, when it's not even close to dark. I set it to min and will see how that works.

I opted out on the key fop on 2018 Outback premium 2.5 non-eyesight model. Those were a expensive option. I did get the wheel arch moldings, splash guards and seat backs

Always learn from your videos. Is there a way to program all doors to unlock when you use keyless entry (touch the handle w/o fob)? It will do it if the lift gate is closing but no other time.

Thanks for the video. Can you show how to program the door handle touch unlock for the 2022 Outback? I was able to unlock all doors from the driver side by touching the handle twice but now it appears to only unlock the drivers door from the driver's side

Door and “rear gate” lock/unlock options are also on the 16 limited. Just an FYI. So I assume it’s on most since. At least at limited trim level.
