02/23 Guards Conversion Course

Earlier this year, our soldiers from the 02/23 Guards Conversion Course (GCC) completed 5 weeks of gruelling training to earn their Khaki Berets and Guards Tabs. They were put through a series of both mentally and physically demanding training, such as rappelling, 10km Combat March and a 1km Coastal Swim, amongst others.

The challenge is to maintain this level of moral and readiness in their reservist years. During my ICT some of the Guardsmen officer rifle coy I was attached to were obese and kept reminiscing about their GCC and Guards tab as if it's that's the peak of their entire NS career.

Im jealous looking across the sea seeing my neighbour SG get all the cool gear. Meanwhile my country Malaysia wont let me join army or Navy not even Voluntary reservist cuz im chinese and quota hit already

SAF need to train more Elite soldiers to protect Sg especially during current unstable times. War events from overseas indirectly impact SG.

Nato warsaw pac countries, Poland, Belarus Russia, korea and China military conficts are heating up at lightnong speed and may spread to South east asia especially when the NATO expansion to Asia.
