Honor is not Huawei's sub brand anymore, at least not officially. They sold it after the ban so they would be unbanned. The similarities have been brought up the excuse is along the lines of r&d and design is years ahead and it's the same staff so it hasn't been long enough for them to obviously diverge.

I use a Huawei Pura 70 Pro and a Matepad Pro Papermatte 12.2, the software optimization is so good! On a day to day basis you won't even notice it is using an inferior chip, in the last year, I have used these phones Samsung S22 Ultra, Oneplus 12 and Honor Magic 6 Pro and this feels like the best optimized phone! Battery life is great too! The hardware in general is great! Beautiful screen, very very good cameras. Huawei is a beast!

China (and Huawei) got banned from buying ASML's chip making equipment (EUV machines). And EUV is VERY essential to make sustainable 5nm or smaller transistors without having astronomical costs. Somehow Huawei survived on 7nm for half a decade is honestly insane considering that the battery life is still decent with other 4nm chips

Honestly this is a great video except for the JerryRig part. He has called out many companies before, such as Apple and Samsung for being less innovative or when they made fragile phones. He has also destroyed OnePlus reputation on multiple grounds and trashed Pixel phones. He has also praised Huawei phones many times so definetly you are insulting him without reason.
That said. The Trifold has been confirmed a massive flop. You can literally Youtube the phone and you can see multiple videos showcasing broken phones and the phone dropping in price in mainland China. Hopefully Huawei will fix the issues they had with it.
