Thank you for this video. Sandhi are underexposed in teaching Chinese. As far as I remember, your video is the first to explain the sandhi of ni hao. Usually this is just glossed over and students are left without a good instruction..

I have one remark on your example of shouting "hao!" after a goal has been scored. Would it also be possible to use the second tone here? This seems to me the strongest tone (Yang!), and I learned that it becomes more strong towards the end.

Or maybe this is a Beijing usage.
