And that's it, none of them have moved from where they separete. Alastor is angry with Vox, he lost a friend because his partner wanted to be more (not a student, not a business partner, but a very close friend).
Vox, on the other hand, is angry with himself (he sees himself as a laughing stock) because he also lost a friend when Alastor rejected his hand and decided to continue being a lone wolf with his old friends (Mimzy and Rosie), instead of moving forward like Vox, he stayed in his radio years.
So, instead of moving forward, each of them stayed in the same place, pouring out their grievances on the other.
