A beautiful “friend” in college studies abroad and comes back raving about well-dressed men? Sounds like we may have gained an insight into Antonio’s origin story in fashion.

As an Italian man who takes pride in dressing up well always (even during summer time), I have to say that you have nailed it in every respect, bravo!

Italy: the country where ordinary policemen look like generals, busdrivers like lawyers and hairdressers like conductors.

2 words: linen suits. I live S Texas and have to wear suits to work. They’re my “go to” material for looking sharp.

It's not what Italian's wear, it's how they wear it and how they inhabit the clothing they wear. There is a confidence instilled in them from a young age that enables them to wear the clothing well. Having spent a long time in Italy, and having lived with an Italian family is it fair to say that Italian style is not really about clothing but a way of life wherein everything is beautiful – your manners, your appearance, your food, your friendships, etc. Something us non-Italian's can appreciate and admire as a spectator.

“Practice wearing” something. This is good advice. Our son’s black tie wedding is coming up soon. I had a traditional tuxedo made. When I first put it on, it felt strange. So I’ve worn it at home a few times to get used to it and now I’m no longer self conscious wearing it.

My mother was first generation from Italy to the US Florence ..My father first generation from Ireland. I went to Med School In Milan Italy...needless today as a man in his 50's I have a Italian wardrobe in the summer then my Irish tweed in the winter.

As someone who has lived in Italy for years I can say that it's just not nearly as hot or humid as most places in the states. You only see Italians dress like the images above in Milan (Milan Italians are vastly different from all the other Italians across italy). Italians are not different from anywhere in the sense that a college aged person is gonna look like every other college aged person across the globe, this works for every demographic. The biggest thing is that men's clothing is more affordable and accessible in Italy

I had an Italian boss and worked in the Milan area at times . I was amazed at how the Italian guys looked so sharp but also so laid back, completely the opposite to say à London business look but oh so sharp .
I think their relaxed attitude plays a lot as does the general culture of clothes .
Most Englishmen in suits look like they have come from court or an interview
Most Frenchmen in suits look like they got lost going to their uncles wedding
But nearly every Italian guy I saw looked like he just got up and still looked amazing

Great video!

I totally agree! Went to Italy, and loved the way the men dressed. The middle-aged men in particular, seemed to have a great sense of style. They always seemed to nail the fit, too!

I learned a lot just by talking to the tailors and artisans.

Very inspirational! They inspired me to wear more blazers, and I have been wearing more of them ever since. I particularly love the way that their unstructured blazers fit. Giving a few to my nephew, who is going off to college in the fall.

For dress shoes, loafers, oxfords and shoes like that, i have a few pairs of Mephisto. they're great because they also have a cushioning system in the heel and air-soft technology which circulates air in the shoe. I can wear them all day without my feet getting tired.

10 things to quit for all Strong Men:

1. Caring about what others think
2. Not believing in yourself
3. Not experimenting different ideas / solutions for problems (life&business)
4. Not prioritizing your health
5. Wasting your precious time
6. Wanting something (instead write a plan and work towards it)
7. Chasing meaningless relationships
8. Wasting or draining your energy from beating your meat 🥩
9. Wasting time by scrolling social media
10. Nailbiting/nailpicking habit for good (if you do it — consider stopping it as it makes you mentally weak + affects your confidence and all other areas of your life!)

Take it easy and I hope you found one thing helpful in this

Very good video. My partner is Italian so go to Italy very often to see her family and eat 😅 great food. I saw some comments that stated that this is mainly in Milan. This is not true. I often go to Puglia which is in the south (near the heel 😂). Most men, especially over 30 dress very nicely. I bought some nice clothes on my last trip. Including a wool sports jacket (with no liner) and some shirts. All made in Italy (near Bari). I do feel there is a lot of choice and those Italian brands are more accessible and better quality then some more well known expensive international brands. I look up to my father in law as he is all class😊.

I wish it was more acceptable dressing sharp more often in my country, regardless of the summer heat
