That's how I got into healing way back when. Was dpsing, thought how hard could healing be and been healing since. Hell, on my ret pally I'm saving mf's lives when the healer is struggling because my WoG will heal for basically 75% hp if someone is low. Even had some healers thank me for saving us from wipes because of it. All I have to do is sacrifice my top DPS spot.

That's how your guildmates trick you into filling that empty healer role. Do a few low keys to loosen you up. Then a few weeks later youre progging on the last boss in the raid and you realize all your DPS friends are really dogshit and the healer was keeping everything together.

For me, Disc Priest was the best for really learning how to heal. Those absorbing bubbles help a lot. That's just my opi ion though

When I played i always had one tank, one dps, and always played holy pally. I understood the pain from each side.

I actually enjoyed healing on my resto druid. I like tanking on my prot pally. DPS is the area I fail HARD

I tried healing after 15 years (I play tank) it looked so simple at first, but as I progressed, I realized it's REALLY hard!

I healed for the first time, and it was on Headless Horseman, all three dps got hit by his first two AoE. You literally have to walk into the second one to get hit by it. I switched to Shadow after that.

Depends on the group.

I’ve had some that were difficult to heal for, others that don’t know the mechanics which made it almost impossible to heal, which caused wipes. Others, I’ve had to switch roles to DPS to prevent a wipe.

Regardless of the role, I found that being able to be fluid and transition from one role to the other, and being able to switch back quickly, makes a big difference.

It is great when you first change to a healer you're like wow this is kind of fun. Then as you proceed through more and more raids and dungeons you start realizing after getting yelled at a thousand times and seeing all the mistakes everyone's making because now you actually have to pay attention to your team and what everyone's doing. It wears on you and then eventually you break
