Sir in the end, shouldn't AC Approx equal to CD. But you have written AC. AC compared with AD is huge and cannot be approximated.

1. AC ~ AD is wrong, actually AC ~ CD. so CD = a / (theta).
2. why should we wait for six months when we can observe the moon from eartth simultaneously from two points ! The concept of six months is used when you take the distance between AB as diameter of Earth's orbit.
Please consider these. Otherwise the explanation is good sir. keep it up
